BYE BYE BINKI!!
(This is the same text in the picture below, but I decided it was pretty hard to read!)
I took Ashlyn to the doctor because she was sick. The doctor mentioned she is old enough to get rid of her binki. I knew this, ofcourse, but had just got back from the cruise and I didn’t want to do it why she was sick. He proceeded to say that his favorite way to ditch the BINKI was to go “Binki Shopping”. I looked at him funny and he continued explaining that you gather all the binkis, put them in a bag and tell the child they get to pick out a toy and buy it with the binkis. So, I thought what the heck, I’ll try it, so Feb. 16 2012, we gathered the binkis and headed off to the store. I talked to Ashlyn about it, but was unsure how much she actually understood. We looked at all the toys and finally she picked this fun picnic basket. We handed the cashier the binkis and told her we wanted to pay for the toy with the binkis. (Then I quickly told her to throw them away!) She looked at me very strangely and said “What?-Are you sure?” In which I responded yes, and hurry before I do change my mind. Ashlyn was excited for her new toy, but a little unsure about the binkis being gone.
She did so good without her binki! I put her down for her first nap and yes, she was sad as she thought about where her binkis where, but she talked and talked until she fell asleep. The first night was not so good, but it really wasn’t bad considering she was pretty attached to her binkis. After only about 4 days she was pretty much okay without them aside from the occasional ouchie and she wanted something to comfort her. All in all it was a great thing and the best part is...NO MORE BINKIS!!!I am sad she is getting all grown up-She’s a Big Girl now!

Singin' & Dancin' & Movin' to the Music!!!
Here we are with more exploring of the ship. Checkin' out our stateroom & verandah (pretty cool to have our own private little deck) I enjoyed this sitting out there for a few minutes each night enjoying the beautiful ocean breeze and the quiet night air.)
And the real fun & excitement begins with a huge deck party. We danced, we sang, we shouted as we kicked off our 7 day adventure off to NEVERLAND!!!

Disney Wonder with Time to Kill
We had a lot of fun exploring the ship. When we got on the ship it was about 1pm. We were not able to get into our room until after 4 pm, so needless to say we had some time to kill. We ate first, of course, so as 1-not to be hungry and 2-to get all our money's worth possible! After eating the boys took off on their own explorations (probably more for 'hot chicks'-even though what do they know about 'hot chicks' at (13 & 15))AUGHHHH! As for Jessika, Chelsey, & I we explored the ship, mostly decks 9 & 10 (outside decks) and enjoyed the views and beautiful sunshine of the California Harbor. And always my girls are never shy from a picture! The top left was at the bow of the ship as we took off out of the harbor beginning our wonderful week of CRUISIN'! What a beautiful sunset we enjoyed too!
Before we arrived at the berth, we wanted to go over the bridge in the picture at the bottom right. It was quite a trick to find how you actually get to the bridge for the directionally challenged like me, but we did finally figure it out after listening to the 15 year olds idea. Jessika was a little freaked out (she's not a big one for heights), but it was quite fun to see the whole ship from higher up before we boarded it!

The First of My Here And Now Idea!
Jan 29th, 2012 our family headed off to California where we set sail on the Disney Wonder for a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera stopping at Puerta Vallarta & Cabo San Lucas Mexico! It was AWESOME.
I am going to scrapbook our trip and then post the pages here so you all can see what an awesome digital scrapbooker I've become (or... so you can enjoy the wonderful memories we made while we were on our little trip).
Today it's just one page (after all with my skills, it only took me about 56 hours, 23 minutes, and 7.5 seconds to create), with only one picture-not even of our family, but trust me, it's just the first of probably a million pages, with a million pictures soon to come! Keep posted...ha ha
