So, a couple months back, I set a dish night schedule for each of my children. Chelsey (5) always wants to do dishes on her assigned night (or anyone else's for that matter). Well, I am always in a hurry to get her showered and in bed, or busy doing something, so I have always (for months) put her off on dishes and told her I would do the dishes and she could do them next time. With much disappointment, she would always reply "Okay, mom, but I really want to do the dishes!"
Well, TONIGHT (Chelsey's dish night), after dinner, Jeremy had a meeting and I needed to help Jessika with spelling words. Not really knowing what she was up too, when I went to go do the dishes tonight, to my surprise, she had rinsed and loaded most of the dishes in the dishwasher. Not only did she do it, she did it BETTER than any of my other children! WOW! I won't be putting her off on dish duty anymore! Let that be a lesson learned....to ME! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

When she's done at Julie's she can come to my house! Way to go! I wish my five year old wanted to do dishes! :)
